Virtually, The Anniverse
Introduction
So, basically, the Anniverse is a framework for understanding the universe, and everything that lies beyond it, through the eyes of a dog. For you, it is a collection of multi-media fictions inspired by Little Orphan Annie. Each tale exists as a standalone abstraction of the original story.
It is hard to believe I have been tending to the Anniverse for ten years now. I can toil away at it forever, yet one fatal flaw will always remain: my perspective. The way I interpret the Anniverse and deliver its contents is painted by my own vices, biases, background, and above-all, my devotion to a hopeful orphan. My Annie… My idea of Annie, she will always be at the center, regardless of where I pivot myself. No matter where I stand, I see her connected to everything else.
This can only ever be my Anniverse to me. Can it be yours, too? Can you embrace the epitome like I do, or would you be a bystander to a love that's mine alone?¹
These stories reveal my findings on a set of realities surrounding and reflecting a core.
